ABB demonstrates the future of building automation with PointGrab’s edge-analytics sensors

ABB Technology Ventures announced an investment in PointGrab earlier this year.  PointGrab uses advanced edge-analytics connected sensors to deliver actionable occupant tracking information within smart homes and buildings.

ABB, a global leader in power and automation, is demonstrating the future of intelligent home and building control at the world’s biggest buildings exhibition this week.  ABB is highlighting the capabilities of some of its partners including PointGrab – in which ABB’s Technology Ventures arm made an investment in December 2015.  PointGrab’s embedded analytics and edge-computing device enables the move from simple presence sensing to occupant recognition, counting and tracking in real time.
